Foie gras: a hugely divisive food. Not just for the ethical reasons but also the, ahem, taste.
Following on from last year's somewhat unhinged foie gras ice cream, we now have an even more insane creation.
The foie gras cocktail has emerged from the deep dark minds of the folk behind Portland restaurant Ox, which should come as no surprise to anyone who's ever seen Portlandia. The drink, hilariously titled 'Foie the Hell of it', contains apple brandy, bourbon, lemon juice, ginger syrup, pureed strawberry and rhubarb preserves, egg white, lemon bitters and pepper. Oh yeah and shaved frozen foie gras terrine on top.
If you want to try it, go to Portland, spend three hours making yourself look artfully dishevelled and go to Ox.
