The Rise of Draw Something

Kapow! Draw Something has taken smartphones by storm. The concept of the game created by OMGPOP is to draw something for your friend and have them guess what you’re drawing. Sounds like Pictionary, right? The cool part is that the app records your drawing process and relays that to the other user.

The app has been downloaded 37 million times since its launch in February and has become the #1 app in many countries around the world. Once Draw Something became a smash hit, Zynga came in and swooped both the app and its company for $180 million.

This animated infographic will show you just how quick Draw Something became so ‘drawsome’.
