As good as 2023 was for TV lovers, 2024 is shaping up to be equally special. It might even turn out to be better.
The following list of hotly anticipated TV shows for the next 12 months covers two follow-up seasons and one new entry in a critically lauded anthology series. We also have several new series from some of Hollywood’s hottest players, and a live action adaptation of one of the most beloved animated series of the 21st century.
Talking of live action adaptations, we’re also set to receive a glossy take on a popular video game series. Could we be looking at the next The Last of Us?
It’s all up in the air as to how good any of these shows will actually be, of course. There’s every chance our favourite show of 2024 will emerge from somewhere completely unexpected, as it often does (think Severance).
