Timothee Chalamet is about to make ping-pong cool with Marty Supreme — so why not treat yourself to a luxury table?

He made sand sexy, he made Willy Wonka wonderful again, now Timothee Chalamet is bringing his Midas touch to ping pong.

Chalamet is taking on another biopic with his upcoming film - Marty Supreme - which charts the rise into fame of the legendary ping pong champion Marty Reisman. And if you’re not au fait with the world of ping pong, Reisman was to American ping pong what Freddie Flintoff is to English cricket.

Reisman won five bronze medals, 22 major titles including the US Open and the British Open. He was also the oldest player to win an open national racket sport in 1997. Does this mean Chalamet will be ageing up for the role? Potentially…

Chalamet may have the golden touch when it comes to films, with more than a few hits to his name, so get ready for ping pong to have a hot girl summer. Not only is it the perfect time to watch your way through Chalamet's back catalogue, but it may also be time to treat yourself to a new bit of gear.

Luckily Cornilleau - the leader in high-quality ping-pong tables - is here to help make all your table tennis tournaments a summer time reality. A seasoned pro like Marty or a complete novice who doesn’t know the rules (guilty), Cornilleau is about bringing people together, regardless of whether they can actually serve or not.

In the UK alone, it turns out that over 640,000 people play regularly, although we’re not sure if that statistic includes people / only children who play by themselves with half the table split upright to bounce against.

If you feel like you don’t *really * have room for another big table at home thanks to London rents, luxury tables like Cornilleau are an ideal purchase as they actually look sleek, clean, and well, not like a tennis table. In fact, remove the net and they actually look like minimalist, Scandi dining tables, and can be used for all your foodie gatherings. Brings a different meaning to “I’ll serve drinks”, right?

If you ever wondered if a high quality, specifically engineered piece of sporting equipment could ever look aesthetic and slot in seamlessly with daily life, it’s a resounding yes thanks to Cornilleau.

They also have the classic looking tables which you’ll likely recognise from break rooms and dens from teenhood. The tables start at £475 for the basical Sport Outdoor Table, going up to £1,995 for the luxury Origin Outdoor models, all of which come in a range of colours.
