Who? Love Thy Brother, featuring Ariel Beesley
What’s the story? There's a lot of identikit pop and electro knocking about these days, so it's nice to hear something with enough quirky edges that it stands out from the crowd. Love Me Better is the debut track from Canadian duo Love Thy Brother, and they've teamed up with Californian singer and model Ariel Beesley who instantly grabs the attention with her distinctive accent and strident vocals. Underneath, the production maintains an excellent sense of dynamic, never being afraid to be restrained, with some neat New Ordery guitar work thrown in for good measure. Chuck in a truly twisted, unsettling coming-of-age movie gone wrong video and you've got a winning package.
For fans of: KLOE, MØ, New Order
In three words: Quirky electro pop
