As our idea of luxury might be getting a ready meal from Marks rather than Tesco, we're struggling to find the right words to describe this.
Back in 2008, a depressingly rich Malaysian businessman comissioned a Liverpudlian jeweller to create the world's most decadent yacht. Quite a challenge as yachts tend to corner that market pretty well as it is.
Three years later and the 'History Supreme' has arrived to make all non-billionaires feel slighted. The vessel is worth £3 billion and before you ask how the hell a yacht could be worth that much, chill out, as we're just getting to all that.
Here's a breakdown:
- It was made using 100,000kg of precious metals
- It boasts a solid gold anchor, while the hull is also wrapped in a thin layer.
- Overall the yacht contains 1% of the world's gold.
- The sleeping quarter includes a wall made of stone from a meteor and a genuine T-Rex bone.
It's enough to make every charity in the world weep unstoppably.
