Forget platinum records, hand prints in concrete and pictures adorning the walls of Hard Rock cafés, there's a new level for measuring the height of your fame - getting your own Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley’s Legend album, the US ice cream kings have created the banana-flavoured ‘Satisfy My Bowl’ (that's playing on the song Satisfy My Soul, for you non-Marley fans). Our porposed jam-flavoured 'We're Jammin' wasn't a big hit, apparently.
Along with banana ice cream, Satisfy My Bowl will moisten taste buds with an assortment of caramel and cookie swirls and peace sign-shaped chocolate chunks.
Created in sponsored_longform with the Marley family's 1Love foundation, all proceeds raised by the novelty flavour will go towards the charity's work with young people in Jamaica. Expect it to fill (and immediately empty) freezers across the UK from 15 September.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
