The Watch That Isn't A Watch

Right. We've found ourselves aboard the Pretentious Train, headed straight for Ostentatious Town - and you're going to want to join us.

This is the latest Infinity Piece, a stunning watch design from Levi Maestro of US brand Becomb. Except, it isn't actually a watch at all.

"The Infinity Piece was created to be a reminder that you can never spend too much time on the things you're passionate about & that's something that applies to everyone," Maestro explains. The 38mm face is silver plated stainless steel, with a beautifully pointless rotating crown.

Limited to 50 pieces at £90 ($150), chances are this will either cause you to flick an eyebrow and exhale in exasperation, or fumble for your wallet in a fit of passion.

He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
