Who likes The Simpsons? Well, we all do, obviously. Who likes them all day, every day, until the end of time?
Those still with their hands up (you can put them down now) will be thrilled to discover that everyone’s favourite nuclear family may soon have their very own channel, thanks to everyone’s favourite lumbering media behemoth, Fox.
Apparently Fox is most keen to increase the revenue it receives from the long-running show.
The idea of a channel devoted entirely to Matt Groening’s creations has now reportedly been mooted by New Corporation’s chief operating officer Chase Carey as one way of raking in money from The Simpsons’ vast library of episodes, which is fast approaching 500 over a staggering 23 seasons.
Now, according to people with the numbers over on Slashfilm, it would take more than a week with Simpsons episodes playing back-to-back, 24-7, before an episode would repeat.
Whether this is reason enough for doing it is open to debate…
