

One of the many problems with Die Another Day (Halle Berry's presence was not one of them) was the most ridiculous Bond gadget of all time: the invisible car.
It was fairly derided by many and along with Madonna's barely listenable theme tune, it turned Pierce Brosnan's final outing as 007 into a bit of a stinker.
Unperturbed by this, Mercedes decided to pick up the concept of an invisible car for their new campaign. To promote the zero emissions F-Cell car, they used mats of LEDs and a digital SLR camera to make it seem like their latest model had disappeared.
The camera shoots video from the passenger side and then displays it in real time on the other side of the car.
But, ermmm, without the help of movie magic, the scheme didn't quite work out. Mainly because, the invisible car is still rather visible. Check out them wheels!
