
It happened: the bear which brutally humped the life out of Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant made its way from the bloody early 20th century frontier to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 2016 Academy Awards.
But while most of the audience chuckled in delight at Leo's furry co-star, it's fair to say it didn't tickle the funnybone of the film's director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who remained po-faced as the skit took place.
Having already been picked up on camera noticeably not clapping for Best Costume Designer Jenny Beavan [Mad Max: Fury Road], the reaction of Iñárritu, last year's Best Director for Birdman, was spotted by eagle-eyed viewers and soon came up on social media.
Maybe he was taking paws for thought...
