Seeing as Beatrix Potter famously nixed the idea of Walt Disney making a Peter Rabbit movie way back in the 1930s, I’m not sure what she’d make of this latest adaptation - a CGI/live action hybrid starring James Corden as the eponymous big-ears.
Still, she’s not around anymore and when people die their properties are fair game, it seems, so here we go with another 2017 update of a much-loved classic.
Starring Corden, Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, Daisy Ridley and being directed by Will Gluck (Easy A), it’s a thoroughly modern update of the original stories, with Corden blustering his way about as a new cocksure, strutting version of the rabbit, who you know just absolutely loves an AU night on a Wednesday.

I’m sure this will do relatively well, what with it having lots of CGI in it - filling the barometer of what will do well nowadays, but we’ll find out when it comes out in “cinemas”, whatever they are, in March.
