Is there anything in the world more satisfying than finishing a particularly taxing LEGO set? No there is not.
And is there anything more heart-wrenching than the sight of that LEGO set falling to the floor, one false move scattering it into hundreds of pieces? Definitely, yeah. But it’s still pretty rubbish.
So spare a thought for brick-laying artist Zhao, who suffered that exact fate at the LEGO Expo in Ningbo, China.
Zhao had spent three long days and nights meticulously crafting a life-sized model of Nick Wilde, the sassy fox protagonist from Disney’s Zootopia, and valued the impressive creation at $15,000 (around £10,000).
What with it being a kids’ film and all, the giant fox figurine attracted a lot of attention from younger sections of the crowd – including one child who, one hour into the expo, decided to climb under the protective ropes and give it a touch.
The rest, as they say, is history…
