While some fonts are regal and poised (Times New Roman) and others are cool like the Fonz (Arial, obvs), Comic Sans is the Timmy Mallet of fonts, only used for "wacky" 'you don't have to be mad to work here but it helps' signs.
Until now, we couldn't prove precisely why Comic Sans is so annoying. But thankfully, clever ad agency TBWA has created these superb videos that treats fonts as if they could speak, demonstrating our point perfectly.
Created for Uniball pens, the agency wanted to show that an important and meaningful letter is much better when penned by hand, as your font selection can make it sound totally different, or even inappropriate.
