Our social life is going to take a significant hit on the 5th November. No, not because we'll be up to our proverbials in fireworks, but because Call of Duty: Ghosts will have flopped onto our doormat, causing us to forget about life outside our living room.
This latest trailer shows off the new squad features of the title, which sees new game types join the ever-growing list of Call of Duty classics. Squads allows you to either go it alone with five bots against another computer controlled squad, whose skills and play style will adjust to match your own level - with the aim of challenging and improving your tactics. Or you could be more social (as social as internet gaming allows you to be), teaming up with friends to take on a computerised squad.
A neat addition to this new mode is the ability to challenge a squad of offline friends. Computer wizardry will control their crew, using their loadouts and tactics. If your squad is challenged while you're offline, you'll still earn XP and bonuses despite the fact you're not there to play.
So we might be able to pop out for a drink after all.
