Aaron Paul teases comeback for much-loved 'Breaking Bad' character
13 April 2018

It’s somehow coming up to a full five years since Breaking Bad aired its last ever episode.

This time in 2013 we were in the middle of the year-long hiatus between the two halves of season five, waiting to find out what would happen to Walt, Jesse, Saul and the rest of the cast.

When it returned, we got [SPOILERS] disgusting tea choices and two copies of Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, before the dramatic final episode ‘Felina’.

Since the finale, the characters haven’t quite gone for good. Saul has been joined by Mike, Gus, Lydia and others in spin-off Better Call Saul, but some of the original characters have yet to make an appearance.

However, we’ve now been given a clue that this may change sooner rather than later.

Vince Gilligan, who created Breaking Bad and co-created Better Call Saul, has dropped hints in the past about Walter White and Jesse Pinkman going from leading roles in the former to cameos in the latter.

“I think it would be a real shame if the show ran its entire course without us ever seeing Walter White, maybe Jesse Pinkman, too,” he said in an interview earlier this year.

And now Aaron Paul, who played Pinkman, has given us more reason to think this could become a reality.

Paul shared a snap of himself at AMC Studios, the network behind both shows, sparking suggestions he’s there to do a little bit of filming. And you bet it’s made people excited.

Better Call Saul has already been renewed for a fourth season, the episodes of which are due to air at some stage in 2018.

As with the first three seasons, there will be 10 new episodes – each of the first three seasons saw episodes come to Netflix in the UK and Ireland shortly after they premiered on AMC in the United States.

There has also been speculation about a new Better Call Saul spin-off, but that’s little more than speculation at this stage.

See you soon then Jesse?
