The purrfect place to take a date

If you’re a dog person, you may as well close this page right now.

If you’re a cat person, however, have we got some good news for you.

That’s because a ‘cat festival’ is set to hit London this summer. On 29th June, Catfest will be providing cat lovers with the most comprehensive (and probably only, let’s be honest) cat festival in the UK.

The festival, supported by The Metro, has all sorts going on. There’ll be over fifty exhibitors, films, live music, art, vegan street food and “cat-themed cocktails” to start.

You’ll also be offered meet-and-greets with “feline superstars” including Bob the street cat.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’ll also be talks from BBC wildlife expert Giles Clark, cat writer Tom Cox, streetcat Bob’s owner James Bowen, European wildlife photographer of the year Britta Jaschinski, and many other experts.

After dark, there’ll be film screenings, live music and more.

You can also, for a five pound entry fee, enter the ‘Meow Palace’, where kittens are available for adoption.

It’s all taking place in Beckenham in June.
