If sci fi movies have taught us anything it's that one day robots are going to become self-aware and make a bold and unrelenting bid for control of the planet.
Somewhat crazy, then, that Japanese robotics boffs Yaskawa are teaching these mad machines the art of wielding lightsabers.
Yaskawa usually make robots that make cars (spot welding to be precise) and in 2009 limited their lightsaber toting 'bots to a bizarre ballet routine. Now, though, here they've taken one step closer to making Cyberdyne /General Grievous a reality. Observe...
