Following on from the success of Amazon’s 'Prime Now' service in America - which sees some regions of the country receive parcels within an hour of clicking "BUY" - the online retail giants are now rolling out their speedy system in old Blighty.
But only, unfortunately, for Londoners - which is slightly depressing for the rest of the UK who need to settle for the (quite frankly outrageous) ‘NEXT DAY’ delivery.
If you do live in the capital though you’re in luck. To get yourself some premium, super-fast delivery goodness you need to be a member of Amazon Prime, spend at least £20 and then pay £6.99 for delivery. Then say hello to quick town.
There are certain caveats though: you can only order stuff between 8am and midnight (which is probably good for drunken whim purchases) and you’ll also need to live in specific parts of Zone 1. Which essentially means that the only people that can really use it are celebrities, Oligarchs and bankers.
On the plus side, Amazon have declared that they’ll be looking to expand their delivery circles as soon as they can, which is nice of them to tease.
