These days everyone's on Twitter. Your mum, dad, and probably even your dog. To be honest we can hardly keep up with it there's so much going on.

Thankfully, Twitter has sifted through the digital melee and come up with a list of the most popular discussions on the site this year, including the most RT'd tweets, as well as the most talked about films, sports, music, TV shows and food.

While there are no massive surprises, we're a little disappointed the word burger isn't in the top five. Try harder next year everyone, yeah?
