The Two Faces of January follows the plight of a glamorous American couple, the charismatic Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen) and his wife Colette (Kirsten Dunst), and their scam of a tour guide Rydal (Oscar Isaac).
Rather than escorting the couple around the sites of Athens, Rydal finds himself compromised when he agrees to aid MacFarland dispose of the body of a supposed attacker. Compromised, confused and head-over-heels for Colette, things take a turn for the sinister as Rydal and MacFarland push each other to the limits of their trust.
