How fast can you pedal? Because if you're considering buying Goldgenie's latest set of wheels, you're going to need to be in the "Chris Hoy" category of quick.

A luxury gift specialist, Goldgenie is the retail equivalent of a garage sale by Auric Goldfinger. Expanding on their range of pimped out iPhone cases and sculptures, they've just coated every inch of a British racing bike (they don't list the model) in 24 carat gold. From the spokes to the chain, gears to the break cables, the only surfaces not layered in Au are the SR4 racing tyres and the luxurious San Marco suede saddle.

The first of several two wheeled projects planned by Goldgenie, customers looking for something more unique can pick from custom packages including a range of exotic skins and precious stones. This gold number is currently available for the princely sum of £250,000

Good luck finding a bike-lock-and-lamppost combination strong enough to warrant popping down to the shops on this.
