The precogs told us this would happen, but we were too busy playing with our floating touch screen to take any notice: Steven Spielberg is bringing Minority Report to TV.
Word comes via Deadline that Spielberg's Amblin Television production company are working on a series based on the 2002 science fiction film - itself an adaptation of Philip K Dick's short story of the same name.
With a script set to be penned by Godzilla writer Max Borenstein, who is also signed up as executive producer, with 20th Century Fox TV and Paramount TV also potential production partners.
The Minority Report show follows Spielberg's apparent renewed interest in sci-fi, his Extant series currently gaining some mixed reviews for its first season. We give it 12 months before someone mentions a Star Wars TV show... though we could probably just check with the precogs.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
