No "worst movies ever made" list is ever complete without Neil LaBute's bizarre, utterly misjudged remake of The Wicker Man.
The Razzie-nominated epic boasts so many fascinatingly awful moments that you probably know it best from the much-loved montage that's been deservedly doing the rounds ever since the release.
But in a recent interview with The Playlist, Nicolas Cage revealed that we have it all wrong.
"The Wicker Man is probably the best example of a movie where people are mystified because they think for some reason that we did not know it was humorous," he claims. "Even though I am dressed in a bear suit, doing these ridiculous things with the matriarchcal society on the island."
We've heard this one before. Step forward Tommy Wiseau.
But along with acclaimed playwright LaBute, also known for darkly comic dramas In The Company Of Men and Your Friends and Neighbours, he claims that it was intentionally insane.
"How can you not know that Neil [LaBute] and I knew that this was absurdist humor? But okay, have at it. That was a misconception."
Let's not forget that LaBute also directed the poorly received remake Death At A Funeral.
Let's not also forget that we should watch this video again. But this time, let's all get it, yeah?
