Now, if the original release date had stuck, we'd be mere weeks away from the release of Gangster Squad. But after the Aurora tragedy, it was pushed back.
The reason? A scene involving a rather ill-timed shootout in a cinema.
But it's been re-cut, given a release date at the start of next year and we've got a fresh new trailer to gawp at right here. And it's quite a doozy.
The 40s-set crime saga stars Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling as cops trying to take down Sean Penn. If you need to know anything else then we're not sure why. But okay, it also stars Nick Nolte and a rather captivating Emma Stone. Oh and it also employs the Great Gatsby trick of using Jay-Z to appeal to the kids.
Take a look at the trailer below and hands up if you can understand a single word that comes out of Nick Nolte's mouth.
