Remember when a decent PC wallpaper was worth seeking out and downloading? When movies would promote themselves with a lazily designed image that you'd right click and save just to show your excitement for its impending release?
Well since we're all overly tech-savvy these days, we're no longer impressed with such simplicity.
French designer Pascal Richon is hoping to convert us with this selection of minimalist wallpapers which highlight an important element of a film. From the axe in The Shining to the red and blue pills in The Matrix, his basic yet effective images are highly persuasive.
In fact, we're taking down that picture of a sunset we've never experienced first-hand and replacing it right this minute. If only we could remember how to do it...
