This is going to be epic. Following Clark Kent from his early life as a lost boy coming to terms with his extraordinary abilities far from his home planet of Krypton, to the classic hero and symbol of good we have all come to know, Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Immortals, TV’s The Tudors) as the eponymous hero and is directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen).
As a young man struggling to find his identity as he attempts to unite the traditional values of his adoptive parents, Martha (Oscar® nominee Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Academy Award® winner Kevin Costner), with his unique superpowers, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent to Earth to do.
Helping him on this journey are his Kryptonian parents Lara Lor-Van (Ayelet Zurer) and Jor-El (Academy Award® winner Russell Crowe, Gladiator), Daily Planet journalist, Lois Lane (four-time Oscar® nominee Amy Adams) and editor-in-chief Perry White (Oscar® nominee Laurence Fishburne).
When the world is attacked by two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod (Oscar® nominee Michael Shannon) and his evil partner Faora (Antje Traue), Superman battles to save the planet from annihilation and his transformation from conflicted child into a source of hope for all humanity is complete.
