Meet the Pixar heroes Gotham deserves.
After showing us what we could expect if Quentin Tarantino directed Star Wars and if Toy Story were a horror movie, YouTube specialist Bobby Burns has now turned his attentions to The Dark Knight and The Incredibles.
Mashing the two films up for one brilliant fake trailer, the shrewdly edited footage gives Christopher Nolan’s brooding comic masterpiece a refreshing, lighter twist, while handing those spandex-clad Pixar characters a much darker edge, proving that perhaps the two were not as far away in tone as we thought.
Then again, with The Incredibles so loaded with adult-friendly pop culture homage anyway (trembling gun-holding cop a la Die Hard, scorned mega villain a la every comic book film ever), you might well be wondering why this recut trailer took so long to get here.
And let’s be honest, everything sounds better with a Hans Zimmer score.
