Mundane. Trivial. Tedious. Unless you spend your days putting out forest fires with your tears or jumping monster trucks over volcanoes, the latest GoPro ad is going to reduce your life experience to a combination of these adjectives.
To help draw attention to their latest range of 4K cameras, the makers of the ever-popular 'extreme' photography and video equipment have filmed a four-minute long 4K montage of unparalleled epic experiences.
From free-climbing on icebergs to swimming with orcas, the short promo - titled The Adventure of Life in 4K - does a fine job of showing off the HERO4's video quality in a variety of environments. Heck, stick one on a spoon and it'll transform the mundane task of eating cereal into an extreme dining experience. Available in the flagship Black edition (£369.99, with filming specs of 4k in 30 frames per second) and Silver edition (£289.99, point-and-shoot simple), the new HERO4s will be available from GoPro from 5 October.
Before you set about watching the advert, be sure to click on the 'Settings' cog in the bottom right hand corner of the YouTube video and crank the quality up to 2160p 4K. And then go back to your boring, desk-bound existence.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
