Someone threw a Vine party and it was absolutely epic

Vine party

Oh Vine, you lived your life like a candle in the wind, flickering brightly, but briefly.

It was founded back in June 2012 before Twitter acquired it just four months later - a perfect match since, like its parent company (well, until recently), it was all about working within very short limits, with users having just six seconds to make their point.

Fortunately, though, like so much great art, this forced people to be seriously clever and smart - or just, to y’know, be stupid and dumb - to somehow make it work with such a small amount of time to play with.

And some were so good at it that they even became breakout Vine stars, earning great wealth and the rest of the entire globe.

But then: disaster. On 27 October 2016, Vine announced that Twitter would be discontinuing the Vine mobile app and then, shortly afterwards: it was no more.

But did you think the Vine community would lay down and die? That they would let those iconic clips rot in the nether regions of the internet? If you did, you thought wrong buddy.

You want evidence? Just check out this phenomenal Vine-themed party, featuring a host of absolute classics, played out IRL.

We WILL remember them. Vine will never die.
