Celebrating 50 Years Of Super 8 With Raindance Film Festival and Don Letts

Following on from their brilliant short film sponsored_longform with Shortlist magazine, the Raindance Film Festival will be celebrating 50 years of Super 8, during a special evening with Don Letts.

The legendary film director, DJ and former manager of The Slits, will be previewing his latest project - Two 77's Clash, which looks at the myth and the reality of the 'punky-reggae party' (punk's only untold story). An influential figure in the early London punk scene and semi-responsible for introducing the reggae and dub acts that would later go on to influence the likes of The Clash and other bands, Letts is a truly pioneer of the genre.

The evening will also see The Don dipping into his extensive Super 8mm archive to give a taste of what's to come from what he describes as "a black n' white story told in glorious colour"...

This will follow a Super 8 punk party at The Social with a very special DJ set from Don Letts, Douglas Hart and live music from Telegram.

Screening at Vue Piccadilly, starting at 6:30pm, with after party at The Social, 5 Little Portland Street
