German cops have released images of the tunnel criminals dug to successfully rob a Berliner Volksbank.
The snaps show that the 100ft tunnel had ceiling supports. It ran from an underground car park into the bank's safe, where they took the contents of hundreds of safety deposit boxes.
Police were alerted to the break-in early on Monday when a security guard noticed smoke coming from the deposit room.
Cop spokesman Thomas Neuendorf said at the time of the discovery that the tunnel was "very professional" and must have taken weeks or possibly months to complete. They issued a composite sketch of a man suspected of involvement in the digging of the tunnel (below). The crooks set fire to the tunnel as they left to destroy evidence.
