Hollywood legend has it that Christian Bale lived on little more than an apple a day when shedding the pounds for his rake-like hit role in The Machinist.
And if reports are to be believed, his latest project could concern a different sort of apple entirely: the brand, namely.
According to The Wrap, David Fincher has claimed he will only direct an Aaron Sorkin-scripted Steve Jobs biopic if the Welshman comes on board to play the tech titan.
It’s been a busy period for Bale of late, what with appearing in Out Of The Furnace, American Hustle, and having just wrapped on Ridley Scott’s biblical blockbuster Exodus, and while his face might not be the first actor's you think of when it comes to Jobs, his casting would certainly be a good omen.
And let's face it, he couldn't possibly cock it up any more than Ashton Kutcher did with last year's Jobs.
