$35m Scarface home for sale

"This is paradise, I'm tellin' ya. This town like a great big..." well, Scarface fans will know the rest of that eloquent line. Now, a slice of that paradise is up for sale.

The excessive, opulent neoclassical mansion in which Tony Montana and his Little Friend wreak havoc can be yours - for a cool £21 million ($35 million).

Set in the hills of Montecito, Califorina (not Florida, as the film portrays), the El Fureidis estate comes with 10-acres of woodland, pools and the dazzling Mediterranean Revival-style home. The house itself boasts nearly 1,000 square metres of lavish rooms, including four bedrooms, a library, dining room with 24k gold leaf ceiling and a "conversation room" complete with Byzantine-style alcove, crowned with an 5-metre-high central dome/conversation starter.

And don't worry about any damaged caused by the epic gunfight of Scarface's finale: the house has recently undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation.

Anyone interested in putting in an offer (namely drug barons and sports stars) should get in touch with Emily McBride Kellenberger of Village Properties.
