In the past few years, the traditionally simplistic burger has undergone a radical transformation. No longer seen as the townie cousin of the more refined steak, it's become the subject of numerous gastronomic experiments.
The latest comes from Burger King in Hong Kong who have created the Black Truffle XT Burger which aims to add some decadence to the fast food chain's standard set of meals. As well as an Angus beef patty, you'll find bacon, cheese and a black truffle-infused mayonnaise.
It's priced at HK$38 (£3.12/$4.90) and is part of a classy new promotion called 'King's Collection' which is unlikely to grace our shores.
