Blood is a fairly ever-present concept in most Tarantino films, so it's appropriate that these excellent portraits have been inspired by it.
Artist Tracie Ching has created three portrait studies evocative of old tintype photographs featuring the classic Tarantino characters Jules Winnfield (Pulp Fiction), Aldo Raines (Inglourious Basterds) and Django (Django Unchained).
They're printed on French Paper's Steel Grey 100C, with each study have a variant run, featuring unique blood splatter embellishments.
They're on display at the Young Guns Invitational Show at the Hero Complex Gallery in LA, opening tonight (Jan 30th) at 7pm; a limited edition, hand-signed and numbered run will be available for purchase at the exhibition, with any remaining for sale online next week. Head to the Facebook Event for more information and watch the videos below to see how they were created.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
