For most of us, cars consume a solid percentage of think-time. Be it dreaming of the next one or admiring a friend’s, cars are a commodity that really get our own engines revving. But two designers have taken this experience to another level – feast your eyes on the delights of handcrafted car furniture.
Łukasz Siódmok and Andrzej Sapierzyński formed LA design studio together in their native Poland. Their ‘Spirit of 427’ collection was inspired after the pair met over a year ago and is based on a legendary American 60’s sports car.
The five-piece collection comprises of a sofa, a standing lamp, an armchair plus coffee and office tables. The prize for wow factor goes to the armchair which has working brake lights. So you can kick-back and watch the latest Top Gear episode in a relaxing red hue.
With the starting price for the whole works in the region of a whopping £40,000, you may have to sell your own car to invest in such majestic lounging vessels. On the plus side however, you’ll probably be the most popular amongst your mates for a few weeks.
