It's safe to say that most people in the modern world don't have the greatest attention span - going for more than 60 seconds without checking our phones, looking out of the window, or daydreaming is virtually impossible.
But some people are made of sterner stuff, and one of them is an incredible designer in Japan. Twitter user @Kya7y recently uploaded images of an astonishingly intricate hand-drawn maze that her father had created: it took him an astonishing seven years to complete. And he's not happy with just that might creation: he's currently working on a new one, albeit something a bit simpler. His daughter tweeted that “He’s trying to make the design more beautiful and easier to complete” - we can believe that it might be easier, but it's hard to see it being more beautiful.
Take a look at the previous überwork below, with a picture of the new work-in-progress below that.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
