Sofia Coppola's Little Mermaid spoof trailer

When the news broke that Sofia Coppola was to direct a live action take on The Little Mermaid, the internet was overrun with raised eyebrows and fishy jokes. Including us, clearly.

So we can't quite understand why it's taken so long but here is a spot-on parody of what the Lost in Translation director might bring to the screen.

It's from the rather clever team at Funny or Die and has AnnaSophia Robb, last seen in The Way Way Back, and American Horror Story's Evan Peters taking on the lead roles.
