Watch as footballer passes ball to steward after mistaking him for a player


Football is a game of often stark, and indescribable beauty.

But hilarity and farce are also never far away, as proved by this fantastic clip taken from a League One match on Saturday between Peterborough United and Northampton Town.

Just check out the clip below, as midfielder Michael Bostwick looks up and plays an inch-perfect pass to a teammate, dressed in Posh’s luminous yellow away kit.

As you can see, it wasn’t exactly the overlapping full-back run that he was expecting.

Perhaps they need to sort out away kits for the stewards?
