Netflix is about to do coke. A lot of coke.
That's not a comment on the habits of their staff - it's the central component to their new heavy weight original series, Narcos.
The 10-episode series, arriving all at once on 28 September, will recreate the battles between the nefarious drug lords of South America and the corroborative efforts of international law enforcement - legal, political, police, military, civilian - to bring them to justice.
Wagner Moura (Elite Squad, Elysium and soon to be 1/6 of Antoine Fuqua’s Magnificent Seven reboot) stars as the notorious Pablo Escobar, while Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl, Run All Night, pictured above) plays Steve Murphy, one real life DEA agent sent to Colombia as part of a US mission to capture or kill Escobar.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
