It’s not often we’d have the chutzpah (note to self: nice word, should use it more often) to suggest that movies of the calibre of Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke, The Dark Knight and Citizen Kane, among others, could ever be bettered.
However, in this instance, we don’t think we’re being arrogant by claiming that these stunning posters by David O’Daniel have increased our love for and the worth of the aforementioned cinematic classics.
We particularly admire the Western-cum-psychedelic aesthetic O’Daniel has applied to his artwork – well, he is based in San Francisco after all.
Also, we can’t help but notice that all the posters are for screenings at the city’s Castro Theatre. We think we might move to San Francisco.
