UK To Get Its First Ever Cannabis Pharmacy

Yup, you read that right, a Cannabis Pharmacy. On the UK high street.

News of which is probably doing one of two things to you right now: Filling you with pure outrage, or getting you all excited to kick back and be all loosey goosey like Snoop Dogg.

Either way, it’s best not to get into too much of a tizzy as, while it is indeed going to be a cannabis pharmacy, it won’t actually be selling anything that can get you high. All of the products will instead be for health and beauty purposes.

So, unless you’re willing to chow down on a pot of face cream (which we wouldn’t advise) you’re not actually going to get stoned with the high-street gear. Even if you were willing to eat the stuff, you’d have to eat an entire truckload. This is because the products only hold around 0.3 per cent of THC (the stuff that gets you high) - normal marijuana holds around 20-30 percent of the stimulant.

Czech company Carun UK will open its doors for the first time this weekend in Twickenham, south-west London, with a focus on hemp-infused ointments, oils and creams. Carun UK claim these products can be used to successfully treat various skin conditions including rashes and psoriasis.

Sounds like quite a lot of effort to live the high-life to us…
