Even with those ticket barriers, there's always some sneaky rascal who manages to skip through the big ones that stay open longer, or simply vault the things before getting lost in the crowd.
But hardened criminal fare dodgers on the London Underground will think twice before trying to save themselves some money, as their potential punishment is surely not worth taking the risk for.
This photo, taken at Canonbury Overground station recently, promises that a terrible fate will befall anyone trying to skip the fare.
