We all remember the laughs, the jokes and the memes when Disney announced, back in October 2012, that it had bought LucasFilm, including the Star Wars franchise, from George Lucas for a cool $4bn - to be fair, this one is still superb:
But many Star Wars fans were, deep down, probably a little concerned at how the corporate behemoth would treat their beloved characters. Fortunately, there have been nothing but the right noises coming from the Star Wars camp as Episode VII approaches, with VIII and IX also on the way alongside a couple of spin-offs - they've paid attention to the old fans and looked to do something new with it at the same time. Of course, we shall see on 17 December when the thing is released, but so far, so good.
Nonetheless, it would still have been sort-of brilliant to see classic Disney characters do interacting with Star Wars favourites, and this utterly superb mashup imagines just such a thing. Much better than your average carve-up, this perfectly intertwines the new Episode VII footage with some old Disney classics. Enjoy below.
