Well, it's all been leading up to this. After those other awards are out of the way, all eyes are focused on the Academy.

Today the nominations are out and it's a somewhat predictable, if deserving bunch. The rather brilliant silent hit The Artist has scooped 10 nominations, while The Descendants, Moneyball and The Help have all done rather well.. Gary Oldman nabbed a surprise nomination for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy while Michael Fassbender was left out in the cold for Shame.

The key nominations are below and the ceremony takes place on February 26th.
