Think of Jim Henson’s Muppets and you think of Coronation Street, Manchester’s Arndale Centre and giant crumpets.

No?

Well feast your eyes on this, the newest ad for Warburtons, which sees Jim Henson’s furry minions flogging Warburton’s Giant Crumpets in what might be the best Christmas advert yet (and we’re fully aware it’s not even December).

One-upping Sylvester Stallone, who starred in the last blockbuster ads for the Greater Manchester bread-maker, Kermit, Piggy, the Swedish Chef (obviously), Fozzie and Sweetums all feature in two minutes of suitably bonkers fun, which even has CEO Jonathan Warburton playing along for gags.

Capped off by an appearance by Statler and Waldorf, we’re not sure how this amazing spectacle got put together but we’re delighted it did.

We can only imagine the dough was good.
