Yes, we're nudging you toward a film adapted from teen fiction. No, we're not in the least bit sorry.
The Maze Runner is based on the novels of James Dashner, following the plight of a bunch of guys trapped inside a vast, deadly maze. Think The Hunger Games meets Lord of the Flies.
Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) is the newest recruit to the group, waking up in the complex with no memory of his former life or the outside world. He joins their efforts to explore and escape the maze, piecing together his own past and the ominously named WCKD organisation (we don't think they make alcopops) that put him there.
Directed by visual specialist Wes Brown, the cast features a gaggle of young British talent, including Will Poulter, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Aml Ameen. Now do away with your scepticism and watch the trailer - The Maze Runner is about to become your latest teen novel guilty pleasure.
