Update: Richard O'Brien Signs Up To Join Return Of Crystal Maze
Jurassic World, TFI Friday, Blur, every single current dance track - the 90s revival was already well under way, but now comes possibly the finest news of all: The Crystal Maze is making a comeback.
However, it won't be coming back to your TV screens; instead it is going to be a "live and immersive interactive experience". An intriguing website, crystal-maze.com has been set up, where potential contestants can register their interest. There's also been three images posted on a Crystal Maze Instagram account; one of which reveals, via a hashtag, that the event will be based in London and that the producers "have a maze to build...".
There's a blueprint, an "artist's impression of things to come" and a photo of an 'updated uniform' - if we got one of those, we'd never take it off.

For the unititiated, The Crystal Maze was a much-loved puzzle-solving game show, taking place on an elaborate set the size of two football pitches, which cost £250,000 to build and featured various themed zones. Initially hosted by Richard O'Brien, who had a love of harmonica playing during particularly tense moments, and latterly by Ed Tudor-Pole, it ran from 1990 to 1995 and, at its height, was Channel 4's most-watched show - yes, even more than Countdown. And everyone - everyone - had a foolproof method worked out for collecting the gold tokens during the show's finale, inside the crystal dome.
Take a look at the images below, as well as an amazing video compilation of Richard O'Brien saying "will you start the fans please", as well as that brilliant theme tune.
