The concept art for The Force Awakens was super badass

Looks as if we won’t be waiting for April’s Blu-ray release to get our next fix of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The FX gurus over at Industrial Light & Magic have only gone and revealed tons of previously unseen early artwork from the box office smash, providing us with a stunning look at formative scenes that made it and others that didn’t.

Including what appears to be a Castle-like fortress possibly belonging to a baddie (Snook perhaps?). Oh and Han Solo has a beard, leading us to believe CGI razors were tough to create.

Thank your lucky starships these didn't end up in the waste paper basket of doom.
